This coffee comes from many family owned farms, located in the fertile foothills of Mount Kenya.  They are structured around the Kii Factory in Kirinyaga County. Farmer parcels are so tiny that proportions are based on the numbers of trees, not area of land.  Farmers who process their coffee at the Kii Factory are members of the Rungeto Cooperative Society, which was established in 1953. Rungeto Cooperative Society operates three factories including the Kii Factory, which has a great reputation for the quality and consistency in the processing of the coffee.  They employ high quality standards in cherry selection leading to excellent consistent coffee.
